New offers for master's theses within the Master Research Group MST-M: Microsystem technology (MST) as tools for materials research

At the chair Materials Discovery and Interfaces we are working on the development of microsystems which we can use for the research of multifunctional materials. To this end, we offer motivated and independent students the opportunity to gain practical experience with an interdisciplinary team in an excellently equipped clean room.

You will be supervised by a scientist with a doctorate, who has several years of experience in industry and science and who is very enthusiastic about passing on this experience. In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend various seminars, e.g. on project management, within the framework of the Master Research Group MST-M (Microsystems Technology for Materials Research).

Each topic you will create a design, familiarize yourself with the required process equipment and independently develop and carry out test series. You will summarize the results in a report and a poster.

What you shoud bring in:

  • Enthusiasm and good basic understanding of microsystems and nanotechnology as well as materials science
  • Independent and goal-oriented working style
  • Team spirit and communication skills
  • Commitment
  • Detailed working
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Secure handling of MS-Office + AutoCAD desirable
